The essence of the ancient Chinese movement art Tai Chi Chuan includes finding one’s center through optimal adaptation to gravity, as well as gaining both lightness and strength. Impressive abilities and qualities that can be practiced through a simple exercise system, and their effects can be applied to all physical and mental activities.
By remaining calm in the face of external pressures, you improve your overall well-being and transform negative stress into positive energy. The course includes relaxing breathing and stretching exercises, known as Taoist health exercises, which convey the principles of Tai Chi Chuan: upright posture, rooted stance, and connection to the heavens as the spiritual principle. Afterward, participants are gently introduced to the flowing movements of Tai Chi Chuan. Ch’i tests and combat techniques complete the practice. Written and visual practice aids serve as supplements for further practice at home.
